They have announced the classes for the APG, they are as follows:

-The Alchemist: An arcane mystic who brews salves and unguents to modify his body in freakishly effective ways
-The Cavalier: A noble warrior who weaves through high society as easily as he does the most treacherous battles
-The Inquisitor: An agent of faith trained to root out the dark secrets and even darker monsters that haunt the forgotten corners of the world
-The Oracle: A divine mystic dedicated to a mysterious occult tradition that grants her fantastic powers—but at great cost
-The Summoner: An arcane spellcaster who conjures powerful servitor creatures from beyond the veil of reality to serve his whims
-The Witch: A versatile caster who gains her spells from the eldritch whispers of her bonded familiar and casts potent hexes to aid allies and vex foes

I'm interested in seeing how the Summoner turns out, and how exactly it's different from playing a Conjurer, but from the descriptions of the other classes, I doubt I'll be picking up this book. The few classes I feel are missing from the game, I can easily update from 3.5, and none of these looks like something I'd be using very often, sadly.

The Oracle looks kind of cool, i've heard it's supposed to be a spontaneous divine caster, which i've always liked.

So, I just downloaded the playtest for the oracle and the cavalier, and i must say they both look really good.

i would love to talk at length about what i like about each class, but i know how i dislike read extremely long posts, so i will just that i am very excited to see the rest.

Cavalier looks interesting, but just like with the Knight of 3.5, I doubt I'll ever play one when I can play a Paladin instead. Oracle, though, I'll definitely want to see more of - none of their foci included in the playtest really did it for me, but if they get some other, more interesting ones, I'm sure this class will be a favorite of mine. :-)

Having read through Summoner, I really like the class already, and I can most definitely see myself using it, both for my own characters as well as for NPCs. I love how it's possible to be a viable summoner even at first level - something a Conjurer never could, in my opinion, with the lengthy casting time of Summon Monster, and the short duration.

As for the Witch, after taking a look at the sketch for the 'iconic' Witch, my very first thought was "cheesecake!" :D When we have the final version of the Witch and Oracle-iconics, Seoni might have some competition for the title of hottest iconic Pathfinder-character. ;-)

Commenting on the actual class, though, it's definitely one of my favorites so far! I love the Hexes, their spellcasting is very flavorful, and I like that their Familiar is essentially their version of a spellbook.

I ran a goblin cavalier riding a goblin dog NPC on Sunday. I think the cavalier needs work. A lot of its class features involve charging. Every combat has charges but there are not many charges per combat. A corner screwed up my charge in the first round and I didn't get any other opportunities.

I look forward to sneaking NPCs of the other classes into my campaign in the future.

read through the classes, the summoner more than the witch, but they both look good.

I'm still waiting for the chance to play this system, but i've got some good ideas for a campaign.

So the last two playtests have been released any thoughts and opinions.

i really like both of them, but the mutagens ability fell a little short for me. when i first saw it mentioned i physically had to stop myself from skipping ahead to read about it, my mind was racing with what possible "mutations" you would be able to have...

...then i got there, a stat bonus and natural armor.. i guess.

don't get me wrong, is a nice bonus especially if you go the CON route, but to me it's just so bland. i was thinking it would be some kind ability that would allow you to mimic some racial traits or something for s few rounds. i get the concept and what it is, but i think it could have been something more interesting.

I'm behind on reading the APG Playtests. I'm halfway through the Summoner and torn about it.

First impressions on the last two classes, is that Alchemist seems okay, but not something I'd ever use in a game except possibly as an NPC, and that Inquisitor reminds me, flavor-wise, of the 4E Avenger class. This is a good thing. :P

Also, got a seperate thread set up for this topic, and merged posts from the old thread over here. And, despite doing this at six in the morning, I somehow avoided deleting the topic entirely, setting the forums on fire, or anything like that! Yay, me! Now, if I missed any posts that belong in this topic, shoot me a PM, and I'll fix it.
