Am I the only one who ahs found the devidian weekly missions to be a bit of a downer? I don't want to spoil anything, but the plot and pacing seemed to be off... And the Devidians didn't seem to have anything to do with version from Time's Arrow.
What Lies Beneath was the highpoint, but the "dramatic lighting" was a bit overdone.
Oh well, my gripes are over.

I liked them. A nice combo of puzzles and action. Plus the two spoilers were fun for me.
My only quible is that the the last two episodes really did not work for the KDF and that they needed to completely redo them to make them logical.

Moved to "General Discussion" sub-forum. I liked it. It's been so long since I've seen Time's Arrow that I initially didn't recognize the Devidians during the "Ghost Ship" mission. They do feel different, but they really didn't do much combat in Times Arrow. Maybe blame some of that on the fact this is an MMO, and we're a trigger happy lot. If there's one thing I did not like, it's the last part of Chapter 5. There are WAY too many opponents shooting you, and it turns into a right Zerg-fest to destroy the Objective before you get annihilated by all those ships. I can't tell you how many ships I've seen spawn on the Sector Map from that mission, burning and spinning on their axis... And I agree, the KDF storyline is pretty thin.

This one might have spoilers in it, so skip to the next message if that bums you out...

I don't know, in Time's Arrow the devidians were shape shifters, traveling back in time, culling the life energy, the nigh soul, from the near dead, carrying them home in a lunch bag, and feeding their friends.
In this, they were the floaty people at a blue light rave.
-
In Time's Arrow, Data's head is chopped off, Mark Twain visits the Enterprise-D, and Picard meets Gainan for the first time.
In STO, the stunning climax is mixing a drink.

And oh boy the klingons. The first time through, I tried to avoid fighting, and ended up with 10 D7s on me, and the important captain rammed me, and blew himself up...
then it bugged and the objective reset, but not the ships, so I had to log out for a while to get the mission to reset properly...
If I had stuck around I would have been facing 8-12 ships outta the gate

Personally I liked the whole series. I really liked the medical part in 1. I thought the console puzzel in two was tops. Three was just the bomb. 4 was good and the medical puzzel was cool again. I seem to be the only person that though the drink puzzel was one of the best yet. I did not like the Kobashy Maru at the end of the 5th episode however. That was a bit over done. However, the slingshot rocked.
I agree with your impressions on the dividians. It would be interesting to see a more investigative series in the future.
Thanks, Duncan

I just want an investigation that isn't a thinly veiled read comprehension test. I took those tests, i am in the 99th percentile...
