So my next question to Chris and Dave is - a) have you bought the new FFG SW games to test and b) Have you made any overtures to 'our new benevolent overlords' on their new RPG?

I can take a stab at those questions:
The games are STILL in development from everything I've been hearing and not slated for a release until next year. There were big signs saying that the materials on the table were demo materials and in were in no way representative of the final product. They were asking for feedback from players and I think there may have even been some changes made DURING the convention. (Don't quote me on that though, I'm not sure on that).
As for the RPG. All they said was - there is one coming. There may have been a few more things, but I can't remember exactly what on the top of my head.

It was clear at the demos that everything was very much in the early testing phase for the X-Wing and the card game. I can't speak for the card game but I played a demo of X-Wing and it was pretty smooth though. And around the FFG booth, the RPG was very hush hush without much information released other than the fact that one is being developed.

Heres hoping they take the best lessions from SAGA and do something that flows...
and may the Force protect us from a Warhammer RPG clone of SW.

So any chance we could get Chris or Dave to chime as to what the status of the FFG interview is?
I'd hate to think it got lost to posterity.

It's coming, boys, it's coming. With the live seminar, Dave was able to do what he does for Order 66: record, edit, and tweak on the fly. So he posted it up IMMEDIATELY. The interview needs to be scrubbed, filtered, edited, and all that. Wesa workinonit.

I know that resident tech-guru Dave has been rather busy being bounced from one end of the country to the other, but it's at least nice to know we've got something to look forward to.

Hows things shaping scheduling wise post Gencon? Still hectic. But ongoing. We're cleaning up the Fantasy Flight interview now, and are planning a "post-gencon" show with some notable names. Take heart! We'll be back with a new episode before ya can spit!
